SIS firmly believes in the End Results Idea developed by E. A. Codman – health care providers should listen to the patient and have responsibility for the overall outcomes of prescribed medical treatment.
Effective PRO measurement is a key consideration for determining quality of care. Prosk provides accurate, cost-effective outcomes measurement that addresses emerging quality of care measures and determination of treatment effectiveness.
Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), headquartered in Boca Raton, Fla., is a national network of five hospitals that serves adult patients who are fighting cancer. CTCA® offers an integrative approach to care that combines advancements in genomic testing and precision cancer treatment, surgery, radiation, immunotherapy and chemotherapy, with evidence-based complementary therapies that support patients physically and emotionally, enhancing their quality of life while reducing side effects both during and after treatment. CTCA worked with Prosk to assist with the measurement of patient self-reported symptom burden. The processes behind this reporting allow for a more open dialogue– on those symptoms identified as most severe and/or frequent – between the patient and all members of his/her integrative, multidisciplinary care team.
